General Wm J Fox Airfield (WJF) Lancaster

Did a quick solo morning flight over to Fox field just to get myself more acquainted with the R model Cessna 172.  A beautiful airplane. Much nicer than the older 1970's era models I was training in with the beat up interiors.   Foxy's landing is the restaurant here at WJF.  A nice airport to have a picnic outside too.  Arriving from the south, checked in at the Bouquet Reservoir, the tower will ask you to check in on left downwind abeam the tower, for runway 24 Left.

Peter the Ramp Agent at Work

My nephew Peter at work at KONT.  I wish I had a job like this when I was in college.  Great stuff Peter!

Flying to Morro Bay

Peter and I flew out to Morrow Rock. First we stopped at Santa Maria first.  WARNING: don't walk across the red lines near the terminal building at Santa Maria, we got flak from security for that.  We then took off again for San Luis Obisbo Airport, we had lunch there at the Spirit of San Luis restaurant. Great view, great food, and free transient parking for an hour, right under the tower. We flew a loop around the big rock at Morrow Bay, then headed back south over Pismo Beach on the way back. A wonderful flight.
